Sweater With Shirt Untucked

A small white horse

Another tender and nostalgic poem by Paul Fort, who was found in a book of my younger years.

To reassure the most sensitive of you, I said that this brave horse, photographed last Sunday seemed to spin a happy life in a peaceful and lovely. We even sympathize with our greatest joy.
I leave you the pleasure of reading this beautiful poem by Paul Fort.
"Lament of the little white horse" that George Brassens sang with such finesse that has characterized so well.

Lament the little white horse

The little horse in the wrong time, so he had the courage!
was a little white horse, and all behind him before.

There was never a good time in that poor landscape
. There was never any spring, neither before nor behind.

But he was always happy, leading the boys of the village,
Through black rain fields, and all behind him before.

His car was pursuing her pretty little tail wild.
Then he was happy, and behind him before them.

But one day in bad weather, one day he was so wise,
It is death by a white flash, and all behind him before.

He died without seeing the beautiful time, so he had the courage!
He died without seeing the spring either before or behind.
Paul Fort.
