My friend Lucia

Ludivine evolved from two years in primary school when the principal of his school had asked for volunteers to send a friendly message to the oldest, to mark the new year and extend this correspondence in a spirit of union and growth simultaneously.
Personally I found the idea rather friendly and profitable, saying that giving is receiving, and we learn from our elders and their experience, wisdom and humility beneficial to our growth.
Ludivine, naturally sensitive, had accepted the offer gladly. Thus that, by virtue of providence, it was understood that Ludivine corresponded with Lucy, a retired lady who lived in Aubusson in the Creuse. To do this, the top of his eight years, Ludivine had chosen a nice card and had applied in his writing, putting all his heart. In her post, she had joined her photo, saying it was very important that Lucy can put a face on her correspondent. Ten days later, and his greatest happiness, Ludivine received a nice response Lucia.
Time passed, Ludivine was very absorbed in her school, was no longer able to ensure monitoring this relationship.
So my correspondence with Lucia began. I took over! There followed an exchange of letters between Lucy and me who would linger sixteen years ...
Over time and letters exchanged, the trust built between us. Lucia told me his life, I recounted my own. We guess we end up through our writings. A strong and loving friendship was built between Lucy and me. We both became disciples of the same family, united by the heart. I never had the pleasure of meeting Lucy. Our exchange has stopped the day his son told me of his sudden death. Then I felt this sharp pain that occurs when a loved one leaves us.
Now when I open my mailbox, I can still see the fine writing of Lucy, the envelope with my name and address were inscribed in blue ink. Words fail me ... Lucia
I still have a splash of sweet memories down on paper, some pictures taken with a disposable camera, the delicate face of a lady who taught me that whatever happens in this world, we must continue the path and never give arm.
